Symbols of Salvation
Mohamoud Mohamed's fondest memories are of pristine Indian Ocean beaches. The soft, white sands cleansed and delighted his toes, and swimming was an all-day joy. Somalia's warm coastal breeze served as the most comforting beach towel imaginable. Before the life-altering civil war, before the traumatic refugee camp experience, and before meeting Geneva Cole and embarking on a quest for salvation in St. Cloud, America—his second home—these were the moments that defined his early life.

Having had the privilege to champion the cause of Somali refugees during my tenure as the Co-Founder and Associate Director of the Saint Cloud Area Somali Organization (SASSO) from 2001 to 2004, I am still filled with boundless energy, enthusiasm, and passion. My commitment remains unwavering as I strive to make a more significant impact in giving back, aiming to “Empower A New Generation At Home and Abroad!”
